I have two things I am kinda particular about - 1) my sheets and blankets have to be neat and tidy before I climb into bed and they have to remain that way while I sleep, and 2) I have my kids trained to run like their pants are on fire to the bathroom if they are going to puke! No, I don't let them just roll over and puke in a bucket! How gross is that!
Okay, so I'm sleeping in my valour jammie pants under flannel sheets. That should tell you right there that I don't move much or if I do, the sheets come up, I roll over, the sheets come back down. If I don't do this then I'm all rolled up in my sheets and this is extremely bothersome to me. Valour and flannel don't work well together so alot of times I'll wake up sweating like I'm in some kinda spa body wrap or straight jacket and can't get out of my sheets! I start to panic and then the fight is on! My Cowboy just rolls over and ignores me. I eventually win but have to straighten everything back up before I can climb back in. You would think I'd lose some weight with all this extracurricular activity.
Anyway, I hear little feet come running and he's crying and I think - bad dream. I pull Kash in bed beside me to snuggle and calm him. I ask him what's wrong and he coughs and throws up everywhere! On my carpet, on my bed, on my jammies, on his shirt, on his pants, on my pillow, ON MY SHEETS (while I am fighting like a mad women to get out of them as I'm yelling Rerrrrricckkkkk!), on the bathroom floor, on the wall, on the toilet, in the toilet . . .at 1:44am.
Silly boy, I thought I had you trained to get to one of the three bathrooms that we have! Yes . . . I am a blessed woman! I may live in a doublewide, BUT, I have three bathrooms! I can have three of the four throwing up at the same time. Before I'd have to say, "Wait, your gonna have to hold it, its sister's turn." THAT didn't' work well! Especially since I'm kinda freaky about this - I am the Queen of my doublewide trailer and I will do my dead-level best to make sure my kids puke in the bathroom!
AND Why did I look at the clock? Did I look over my shoulder as I struggled to get myself, my child, and my jammie pants out of bed? Did I look as I was running him to my bathroom? Did I look after I cleaned him up and laid him on the sofa? Or was it when my sniffer was tracking down the wayward puke so that I could clean it up? I don't know when I looked at the clock, I just know I always look at the clock when I get up in the night. Its like an addiction, I can't go back to bed if I haven't stopped and looked at the clock. I have even gotten back out of bed or rolled over my Cowboy to look and see what time it is.
All of this, I thought about at 2:30am as I lay on the sofa with my sick child. How did I know it was 2:30am? Well . . .I got back up and looked because I couldn't go to sleep without knowing!!! I think I need therapy or a really strong sleeping pill!
Have a crazy, blessed Monday, ya'll~

I hope your little guy is feeling better today. I can empathize with your very descriptive early morning! No need for pictures! LOL!
Oh Paula - poor Kash! Hope he's feeling better and I hope you get to sneak in a nap today between laundry loads! Did Rick sleep through all of that?! Stinker!
Rick's real good about jumping 3 feet out of bed the minute I holler his name. He's quick to jump into action and help! He only sleeps through my sheet fights!
Hopefully Kash is better and no one else is coming down with this! You're so funny, you don't need therapy - you are just prepared in case you have to seek medical care - you know exactly what time it all started! Praying for quick healing.
We must be kindred spirits or something...I too have an aversion to puke in my bed and especially my pj's. That pesky bug has been through my family twice in the past few months - I escaped twice. Hope you little feller is on the mend!!
Hahahaha! Poor Paula, I truly feel for you!! That is the worst. When one of my children appear bedside, my first response is to scoot way back and ask "areyougoingtothrowup?" (its such an immediate reaction it comes out as one fast word) At this point they laugh at me, but it only takes one puke incident to make you do this.
When my kids were younger, I would always remind myself...they will run up the stairs, in the dark, past two toilets to puke on Mom because they love her.
Hope that Kash doesn't share his sickness with everyone else. Yuck!!
I LOVE YOUR BLOG!!! I am really going to have to read back, but soo far I am lovin it. A cute weiner dog, a cowboy husband, barrel races and a strong faith in God. Girl I should have clicked over sooner!!
OOOohhhh...I hate the stomach flu, I pretty much just Rebuke that bad boy from ever entering into my home! Praise the Lord, we're not stomach flu people. ICK
Ugh, poor little guy! And poor you! ;) Hope he's feeling better!
I haven't LOL like that for awhile...(should I apologize..?

The picture you painted was so complete! Couldn't help but chuckle!
Hope he's feeling better now, you got your jammies and bedding etc cleaned and 'set' for the next midnite run! :)
I am the same regarding the clock and time! Not sure if I just need to know how much I slept come morning to know how my day is going to go or what...
Oh Gosh I am with you there. I hate hate hate that. I am not a weak stomach kinda gal...but oh my it gets me every time. I just clean and gag.
We have had that bugger here as well, it was rough. Hopefully it won't go through the whole family.
Hope your little guy is better.
