The Great Green Funk!

You know how in cartoons if something is really stinky or gross there is a green cloud of funk floating above it . . . Well . . . I think if you drive by the Broken Y, you just might see that above the house instead of the barn!

Yep . . . the puke has run it's course! Klay started in on New Years day but then just felt crummy for about four days. Kash has finally slept through the night without a puke episode but the rest of us have been super sick to our stomachs. Bailey is coughing, Ricky is not feeling good either, but he's a boy so if there is something that just might be fun to do outside, he suddenly feels better! The K's have the green funk out the nose and Rick even stayed home from work because he felt so bad! Now with that, you know why I haven't posted since the Wee Hours of the Night!

I've done about 10 loads of bedding and towels, wiped down three toilets three times each, (remember, I am a blessed woman) and have served toast for the last four days.

It is supposed to be a balmy 56 degrees today. I think I'll muster the energy and throw open the windows and let the Kansas breeze blow away the Great Green Funk!

Please, Lord, Bring on Spring!

Blessings~
P.

Oh the legendary projectile vomiting! I so remember those days. My dear Hubby had it for months and months before they discovered that he has Addison's Disease. Now I have a strong stomach about most things but puke isn't one of them! lol! Hope you are all on the mend and the green cloud disappears!!

Loved your post on Grief, Belief and Relief. It really touched my heart and I am so glad you got out of that abusive relationsip. Your plans for a cowboy church is awesome and I will be praying with you that the people come soon! What a ministry!

Take care and come by again soon!

Bless ya'lls hearts! May the Lord heal you and get that green funk outta there! Hoping and praying that all are well now, no more laundry runs, no more toilet scrubbing except the regular! And no more sickness!

One time, I went with my dh on the cattle truck to Tennessee - a "friend" wanted to keep dd. DD was friends with her daughters, and had played together - mostly at our house. So in a momentary LASPE of judgement I agreed. Well I come home to a sickly, green little child - who then proceeds to tell me this. When the green funk hit - she was disoriented and couldn't find the bathroom. She puked all over everything, this "friend" made my puny 7 year old clean up the mess. She even made her wash, dry, and fold the sheets and pjs. I was furious! That friendship went by the wayside.

Sounds like ya'll need to dose up on some acidophilus! I keep some in the fridge at all times, and we put away the yogurt around here. We haven't had the stomach bug in a long time. Can't say the same for sinus infections... :P
Praying everyone feels better soon!!

Oh goodness!I am hoping that the good Lord has swept that green funk right out the door by now. No doubt you will be exhausted so I'm praying for a restful and healthy weekend for all of you! A Mama's work is never done, is it, but in this case, once everyone is up and healthy, take time to put YOUR feet up for a spell.

Oh boy, do the last few posts bring back memories....whenever Bear was going to throw up, he said it felt like there was butter in his throat ! Don't ask why, not even he knows why he connected the two!
Here's hoping the funk passes FINALLY from your 'stead....and lucky you on having "superhero" to be right there in the bathroom WITH the kiddo...mine would just let me know it was "my turn"....seems like it was "My turn" everytime, though!
