First, I didn't think my kids were doing this and I'm visiting with my gal-pal, Kristy, and I get a call, do you see the boys out there? Only about 100 little kids in the arena. They had to take one shoe off and put it in the middle of the arena. Race down, find their boot and then race back. The winner gets CASH!! I'm looking but . . .
Well . . . I couldn't find them, then I found them, then I lost them again!
But, they made their way back to the start and guess what? Every kid got a $5 dollar bill! How cool was that! So the K's snagged $10 a piece for the weekend!
I wouldn't have found them if they didn't have their Wichita Storm hats on!In the calf scramble, there is a flag taped to the back of the calf, you have to pull the flag and race back. The first night, Bo wasn't able to get a flag but he went into the second night with some strategy.
He tackled the calf! Got his flag and raced back to finish 3rd. I think he took home $10 bucks also. He just about didn't make it back, earlier in the day, our mean steer, Demon, kicked him right in the shin. He wasn't moving too good, but he wanted the money!This Monday morning in Kansas, we have thunderstorms and about 68 degrees. The house is open, it feels like fall and all I want to do is bake! But I'm not going to! The scales are begging me not to! hehe

Sounds like a great time! Glad the kids had fun and got paid for it. Tell Bailey - it was someone else's turn to be blessed in the barrels, but her turns coming.
I am so glad that you came over to find us!! That was pretty awesome that one guy donated all those 5 dollar bills for the kids! Glad you guys had a good time.
They did awesome! I love Fall weather even if it's in the summer! Well especially if it's in the summer! Can't wait for 68 degrees and the windows open.

That sounds like fun! It didn't work out that we could make it. Wasn't sure with the clouds and thunder Saturday evening if it would be cancelled.
Congratulations on all those winners at your house! I think it's great everyone was a winner! Rodeos are so much fun! I haven't been to one in ages, though! My daughter has never been to one...that's something we need to do!
