We've been at our place now, going on 4 years. Would you believe that I am finally geting things painted and just the way I want them.
The K's have been asking for about a year now for their room to get painted. So, one of my projects while the big kids were playing in Texas was the K's room.
Here it is when we just moved in. Stark white walls, no beds, that's about it.
Now that they are big goys, they've got race car beds, baseball gloves, and ropes! What more could any boy want!
Whenever there is a surprise or something new and great, they sing "Happy Birthday FOR You!" They don't know the real Happy Birthay because I think their version is so cute. So . . . all day yesterday, they sang their song and played in their painted room!
Simple little pleasures!

Love their new rooms, too cool! We just had that rain run on through, it was wonderful. Still nice and overcast out. Perfect snugglin' weather!

Don't feel bad. We've been in our house goin on 3 years and I haven't gotten around to painting the rooms either! I was watching HGTV last weekend. Thought I should really get with working on this house. Looked at all the projects I could do and sat back down!

Looks great! Fresh paint makes everything feel so clean. If it wasn't such a pain I would paint every year.

We've had rain here too...the hay got baled, but it's still in the field :(
We'll have been here 4 years in Sept and before I moved any furniture in I painted all the walls...WHITE! I've always been a pretty plain jane type of person. But after my brother bought our family farm, he painted and remodeled most of the house and I absolutely love it. So, I had his sig other help me pick colors for our house...now I just need to paint...again!

Oh I just love those race car beds! Wish they had had them when my son was a boy!!! We would have been all over that in a minute! I don't think our homes are ever 'finished'. It seems like I get one room done and then think I might like to change another one! lol!
Loved all the pictures of your family on your last post! And so can relate to all the horse poop and horse flies. :o) I spray the barn quite frequently and it really keeps the horses flies and barn flies at bay but when I ride in the woods it's awful! Even with spray the moose flies just swarm around us.
It's the simple things that create lasting memories.

OMGosh, Thursday's weather was the greatest LOL!! We were so tired of the heat at the fair and when that weather came through I was thanking God!!!
That's too funny about your painting :) The very first thing I did before my Hubby even had the moving truck open was rip out all of the wallpaper in my kitchen LOL!! Then I had a week off of work and spent the entire week painting almost every room in the house!! I am a major color freak, I love color and the bolder the better!! I am about ready to change a couple of rooms now because it has been about 2 1/2 yrs since I painted them...
