Rain over Texas delayed baseball yesterday, so Rick, Bailey & Bo headed out to find adventure! Their first wild ride was a blow-out on a major 4-line highway at 3:00 in the afternoon! I think rush hour in the Dallas area starts at 5:00am and lasts until 10:00pm! Rick felt the tire start to go (just like a true NASCAR fan) and started making his way to the left lane - just as he made it over, the tire blew. Got off to the shoulder, got the kids out of the car and down a small embankment and then changed the tire. He was quick to tell me that drivers don't get over, nor do they slow down!
As they made their way back in to traffic, he didn't know how long the little doughnut tire would last - He said, "Kids, I don't know where we are at, but God will get us where we need to be." He took the first exit ramp, and there sat a little Mom & Pop station that just happened to sell tires! They were on their way in an hour with two new tires! Didn't want to take any chances.
HOWEVER, the chance taking started when they got to their destination. I didn't get the name of this place, but here we have these "Sports World" places to go drive go-carts, do video games, etc.
So, I get this call last night, around 6ish, Rick said, "He's getting ready to drop 160 feet out of a basket and land in a net!" What!? Who!? BO! Okay, this really didn't scare me, because I probably would have been up there with him! This is my kind of stuff. I love amusement park rides, the whole nine yards. But I have to say that since I've had children everything has kinda loosened up inside, I tend to get sick quicker and then, heaven forbid I might, ya know . . .throw up AND pee my pants! So, I'm not so quick anymore to jump on! But I would have done this.
Basically, it was free fall, landing on your back in a net. Bo loved it with exception to the fact that when he hit the net, his shoes flew off and hit him in the face. But Rick bought the video so I'll post it when they get home!
Okay, so I get a call about 6:30ish, Rick said, "He's gonna do it! What?! Bungi Jump!" YOU ARE KIDDING ME!? Nope! He did it. Got to the top, walked to the edge with those giant rubber bands strapped to his body, walked away from the edge, looked again, heard everyone cheering, and just walked right off! Thank you, Lord, the bands held! I would not have done this! Head first! I don't think so! Can you imagine if I would have puked and pee'd my pants going down head first! Some things you just can't control after four kids!
Bailey passed on these adventures, but she drives her go-carts like she rides her horses - FAST!
Needless to say, they ALL had a blast! Now, it's on to more baseball. Bo has 4 games today, to get caught up from the rain. My cousins, Cleve and Angela and their kids may be able to take in a few games as this is all happening right in the middle of their stomping ground.
So . . . for now, I continue to plug along here at home. Let the chickens out at 6:00am and it was down-right chilly!
Blessings ya'll~

Dallas traffic is SCARY!!! He's right, they don't get over and they don't slow down. I would much rather drive in Fort Worth. Your Bo is quite the little dare devil! I haven't had kids and I think I would have puked and peed my pants!
That all sounds like fun for them. What a great adventure for the kids with their dad - but I'm sure they are missing you all, too.
Oh yeah we used to live north of Dallas....NOT FUN....My BIL and SIL still live there and he lives like 20 miles from work and it takes him like and hour and a half to get there...OH I HATED IT!!! And yes Rick was exactly right, they don't slow down, move, nothing!!
I think I know what place your talking about but I can't remember the name of it, Hubby went there a few times. I think I went and left to go shopping LOL!! I just can't do the rides...I don't have a puking or peeing problem LOL!! But I do have a passing out problem on anything with a strong g-force...So annoying, this came with age like the whole peeing thing LOL!!
You are to funny I was about to fall out of my chair reading that, I might have even *snorted* a time or two :)
And what are you doing trying to confuse me like that LOL!! Changed your "post" name and picture LOL!! Your too cute!!
This was funny! Sounds like they are having a high ol' time. Dallas traffic is horrible! And it's branched out all over the place.
I think I would have puked just watching! Was it Bo or Rick that bungee jumped?
Sounds like they are having a great time!
I almost peed my pants just reading about it!! lol! Some things just don't get better with age......try sneezing at my age.....ahem......
Sounds like a lot of fun for your kids and hubby too! :) Hope thing are going well at home for you--bet it's really quiet! That is hard to get used to isn't it? Hope you can stop by soon.
My my my...you have one brave young man!! I would soooooo not have done either one of those. I would've watched and cheered, but I have a major problem with falling...it's not something I like doing, or get a rush from doing, it scares me so bad I probably wouldn't puke or pee (although I might pass out) but I almost certainly would do both after I realized I was safe and alive afterward. Bravo for you, Bo! And Bailey, you go girl! I'd rather ride fast go-carts too! :)
