The Butt Dial

I've been butt dialed. I think this is the first time I've ever been butt dialed. I'm sure it is not the last time I'll be butt dialed. But this butt dial was definitely worth the "Hello? Hellooooo? Hellllllllloo?"

This is my niece, Jessica! She's a dollie and has been since the day she was born. However, she can definitely be silly! So . . . on with the butt dial.



My house phone rings . . . I answer, "Hello this is Paula" just like I always answer the phone and I can hear that someone is there. You know, the usual chatter in the background and the the rubbing of fabric against the phone. So, in my sing-song voice I'm singing, "hello, hellooooooo, hellllooooo!"

Then I hear . . .



"Aunt Paula?"



"Jess?"


"My butt dialed you!"


"What?"

"My butt dialed you! It happens to me all the time! I have my phone in my back pocket and it just decides to dial someone! I don't know how my butt decided to dial the "Y's", it just did! A couple weeks ago my butt dialed a girlfriend from high school! I just don't know how it does that? I'm standing here and I hear this little voice coming from my butt and I realize - great, I've butt dialed someone!"


As I type this post, I just am cracking up because this is such a "blonde" moment for Jess! You see . . . she is extremely intelligent! She's in her final years of vet school at Kansas State, received all kinds of scholarships, traveled to numerous places for internships! She's beautiful, a new bride with her one year anniversary coming up . . .



and here she is telling me she heard a little voice coming from her butt! Round here . . . we call those "toots, windies, flubbers." You just had to be on the other end of the line with this highly intelligent blonde going off about voices from her butt!

None of you may find this post funny at all . . . however, I find it hilarious and have thoroughly enjoyed myself!
