We interrupt Paula’s blog to bring you an important announcement…Sunday, October 26th, Paula is turning 40!!
While she may not look a day over 24, records indicate the rodeo beauty queen is saying goodbye to her youth and entering into a new and unknown territory. Please be in prayer for our ageing beauty as she faces a lifetime of wrinkle creams, sore joints, and hundreds of dollars in anti-aging concoctions.
Paula is known to all as a good friend, cowgirl extraordinaire, energetic ball of fire, and hysterical conversationalist. Her youth will be missed by all.

I've been hacked! In my old age, I've been taken advantage of!
I've been sitting here trying to come up with all kinds of wise cracks for this but in reality, I find this very sweet!
The crazy thing is - I already have sore joints, spent tons of money on anti-aging concoctions and the only thing that works is a photo-shop face lift on the computer! My teeth really aren't that sparkling white and my eyes have a consirable amount of laugh lines! AND I've said it before, and I'll say it again - YOU DO NOT WANT TO SEE ME NAKED! My rodeo crown holds my wig on and the sash is keeping everything from heading south!
BUT - With two friends like Karma and Pat - I believe I'll be able to enter the 40 territory well prepared and encouraged! Pat with experience and Karma hot on my heels! Don't let Karma fool you . . . I'm not that much older!
So . . . to answer your question, Karma . . . YES . . . and so happy to be! Love you lots too!
PS -Karma- Lets set the record straight and get this out in the open so you do not have to live in denial any longer . . . my minivan beat your 'stang off the line today in Derby!

I always say posting a picture without photoshop is like going out without your makeup on! I am looking forward to my 40s as a decade where I will be a LOT wiser, stronger and confident in myself. So I say, you are NOT old and Congratulations!

Just to keep my good reputation, I want to clear a few things up. Technically, I did not hack into Paula's blog. Earlier this year, Paula asked for help on her blog and gave me her password. Poor judgement on her part? Probably.
As for Paula's minivan beating the 'stang...I wasn't even looking! I was being a law abiding citizen. Since it is an election year - I demand a recount!
We've had lots of fun with Paula's birthday. Happy birthday girl! Thanks for being such a fun sport about it all! ;)

I have truly been blessed by all the heartfelt comments! I went into the 40's kicking and screaming and I came out on medication! But . . . all is well and I will move forward as these fine ladies who have gone before me have and I will do it with an extreme need to lose 25 pounds, an addiction to Preference by Loreal, and REALLY GREAT FRIENDS!
