My Sister, Leah . . .

She's gonna kill me! She hates every picture thats ever been taken of her! But . . . May 15th is her birthday!



She's the middle sister! I can't remember if Daddy called her George or Pete. I think he called the Yvonne - Sam, the Leah - George and me, Pete.

Leah is just a really neat person. As we've grown older, we've become the best of friends. Just after Ricky was born, Leah decided to take her twin boys and move to Kentucky. It was a career decision and a needed change for that time in her life.

I think when she moved away from family, away from home, that she truly found out who Leah is. She is brave, tough, determined, intelligent, loving, devoted. She's an overcomer and a fighter. She's everything I could imagine for a sister and more.

She met Bailey and I in Chicago for Bailey's 8th birthday. We went to the American Girl Place, toured Chicago and just had a blast having girl time. Bailey was so excited to see her Aunt Leah at the airport!



Then, she came home to see my twin boys. She understands everything I'm going through with twinhood. Her boys are now at the University of Kentucky. Fine young men who have been raised to love the Lord.



Leah played softball in highschool and was really good at it. I remeber wanting to be like her. I would sit on the floor by her closed bedroom door and just wait on she and Cindy to come out. I know . . . I was the brat little sister. I was in love with every one of her boyfriends, especially Harry Scarth! He had the most incredible blue eyes! By the way . . . if you know rodeo . . . Leah has even had a date or two with high school chum, Tommy Reeves! Yep, no kidding! He was a dreamboat too!

This is my beautiful sister and this is her birthday. Please say a quick prayer today that she would be blessed abundantly by our Lord Jesus! I love her so much and it is an honor to call her Sister and Best Friend.
