Where's Rowdy? What is that? Can you see the color?

Sweet Little Rowdy-Dog has made himself at home at the Broken Y. I can't wait to get the little guy potty-poopy trained! Potty training twins was a whole lot easier then this!! They didn't poop on the floor!! He now stays in the sun room where piddle puddles are not on carpet.

But the sweet little guy has decided to make my old pink barn coat his new home. I found the coat spread out on the floor with no sight of Rowdy.

Where can the little guy be?

There he is!

But he's just sooo tired!

WHAT IS THAT? Should you be touching that? That is NOT staying in the house!

Bo and Trey took off on the 4-wheeler and happened on this lovely piece of nature. If you look at it from left to right, it looks like a head and body. Hmmm, what could it be? If you look at it from left to right, maybe it is a deer spine and tailbone.

That being said . . . well . . . that being said . . . this is life with boys.

CAN YOU SEE THE COLOR? - I got motivated to paint my 1/2 bath. It is the bathroom that everyone uses and just looked pathetic. I've had conversations with R.E. clients about whether you should decorate what you like or what is popular. My personal opinion is that if you are not plannig on selling anytime soon . . . do what you like. If a sale is around the corner, do what is popular.

Now, several years back, the popular color was navy blue and yellow with lots of sunflowers. And of course, being from the Sunflower State, I had to have my share. So, I painted it a butter-cream color which you can hardly see, and took all of my navy blue, yellow, and most obvious sunflowers and did what I liked several years ago and still. Here is a bit of the finished product.

I have a metal cowboy boot holding an extra roll of Extra Strong Charmin and garden watering cans painted with sunflowers holding soap and lotion. There you have it . . . a newly decorated room with junk from around the house!

ONE MORE THING - Our message Sunday at Cornerstone was out of Exodus - The Israelites were fleeing Egypt and Pharoh changed his mind and headed out on fast horses to catch them. They were trapped and asked Moses if he just brought them out of Egypt because there were no graves there? God trapped them so that when He rescued them, He would be GLORIFIED! They would see His mighty hand and know that He is God of the universe. The lesson is this . . . how do you react when trapped, stressed, burdened, sick, tired, over-worked, etc?

I've been having an Israelite Freak-Out when faced with different things. Since this message, I have decided to re-evaluate how I react to different circumstances. With focus and praise to the Heavenly Father, we are never trapped.

Blessings~
P.

Okay - I was tired when I posted last night - it should read "left to right" and then "right to left". I am sure you are all intelligent enough to get that figured out. But don't you love reading your own blog and then saying to yourself, "Do you even read that before you hit 'post'?"

I got it! Good post, and I love that puppy. He's very cute. In hs, I got one - Levi - he was the sweetest little guy. Your's looks just like he did. I would take him with me to the rodeo's, and he loved it. He also thought he was a cowdog. The bathroom looks great.

How cute is Rowdy!? Our dogs love to make "weiner caves".

Bathroom looks great...just in time for the boys to wash their hands. Gotta love their "treasures" they drag home!

OK - I started with my first Dachshund in the 4th grade - me, not the dog in 4th grade! Now, after 30 yrs. of marriage, I am (we are) on the 3rd and 4th Dachshunds. Plus all the pups we've raised and sold ...

When Rowdy gets bigger, he will try the "down the sleeve" thing and here's what will happen. He will be big enough that only his nose and eyes will emerge from the end of the sleeve, which will be tightly wedged around his head. He will not be able to get out ... you will have to rescue him! BEEN THERE, DONE THAT!

HAVE FUN!

That is one cute puppy! Makes me want a baby critter, too.

Love your cheery bathroom re-do.

I watch too many forensic shows on TV. The photo of your boys with the spine made my spine tingle!

First, that puppy in the sleeve thing was TOO CUTE! Second, my 4 year old would LOVE living the life of your 4 year olds! That post just makes me realize he needs more room to RUN (or ride). And, 3rd, I agree with your "decorate the way you like and change it before you move" theory!

As a proud owner of a 'weiner' dog, I have had Ginger for 7 years...I have to warn you...you are in for an experience. They are weird strange dogs..but they do worm their way into your heart, and you will never want to be without one. They are the most 'human' dogs we have ever owned.

Gotta love boys....whew!

Nice bath..I love having a new look without buying a lot of stuff.

You are on a roll! The bathroom looks great and that little weiner dog is too cute.
Yep, if its dead, dirty, stinky, it makes it more interesting for a boy to bring home!
I love the end of your post...many things feel like they are closing in around me....oohhh I don't like it and I REFUSE to give the devil any satisfaction, as hard as it is sometimes. But I have in the last week decided to get fired up about it...No Devil in hell can make me feel bad any longer! Praise God his joy comes in the morning!!!!!!

Might as well break the news....weiner dogs are hard to "potty train". Slack is almost a year old and....well....we're STILL working on getting it right. Oh well, they are worth it!

Rowdy is so adorable! 'Course, puppies and such usually are, but I'll bet his cuteness makes it easier to forgive him when he has...uhmm...'accidents'... *grin*! My kitten can do no wrong in my dad's eyes (that is, except when she chews on electrical wire). :)

And seriously, don't tell them this (wouldn't want to encourage that, ya know), but I would so have taken that spine home too! And oohed and aahed and asked my mom what she thought! Actually, when my grandmother passed away, I inherited the elephant vertebra that she had brought back from Africa years ago, so I don't think my mom would mind! ;) The bathroom looks lovely!

Cute wiener dog. I grew up with one named Bismark - he hated me b/c he had been the "baby" of the family until I came along. He was so lazy he would bury his bones in my sandbox and then not let me play in it. Do kids even sandboxes anymore? - I can't think of the last time I've seen one. Sorry for the rambling note. Keep visiting.

I usually don't read my comments or posts, then when I do, I see all the spelling errors and either have to edit them or delete them...you'd think I would havelearned...
Interesting question you posed about the Isrealites and how do we react...good reminder for the days coming events, whatever they may be...

Looks like Rowdy has made himself right at home - having a new puppy is like having another child (without the pain of childbirth!) - he'll soon be dragging lovely gifts home to you just like your boys!

Wonderful job on the bathroom - I needed that for inspiration - mine is in dire need of a makeover.

Thank you for your scripture inspiration - a wonderful reminder!
