The Happy Birthday Wall . . .

Whenever the K's have a surprise for me, they sing "Happy Birthday for you!" It doesn't matter if it is May and my birthday is in October. They sing this song for me.

I came home from showing houses one day and they were both very excited.

"Happy Birthday For You!" They sang over and over as they lead me to my bedroom.

Excuse the hideous white walls . . . I have a plan for those walls!

All the artwork from that day . . .

Taped to my wall with my roll of painters tape!

They prefer abstract art! I believe that there are a few "master pieces" here!

I've wanted to paint my room for a while now, but can't bring myself to clean off this wall. Any suggestions on how to preserve this innocent act of love?

Blessings~
P.

Hey...this is grandma Pam...my cousin had some art work her daughters made. You can take them and make copies or a collage of them and have them framed, or you can also have then made in to a book. It is really cool. I think shutterfly might have this ava.

Have them made in to a collage or a book. I think shutterfly has this ava. My cousin had her daughters hand prints made in to photos and had them framed.

Absolutely beautiful! You'll never pick a color that looks better! You could make a scrapbook, putting one work of art on each page. I can see them going in with blue tape and all! They would probably fit in a 12x12 album.

Too cute! I'm tearing up here, maybe a scrap book out of all of them, and that way you can look at them whernever you want, and add future art as they get older! :)Love it!

I have a frame hanging in the kitchen and Troy swaps out his artwork every so often. The wall was pretty sweet! What a blessing the artwork was taped to the wall and not drawn directly on the wall.

What about a large pic frame and make a collage of your favs to hang up when you are finished painting?

I've come across your blog name via FlowerMama, RanchGirl and RanchWife--just haven't ever stopped by! :) I enjoyed your post, this is too cute.

My Mom and Dad couldn't ever throw away our masterpieces either. They have done the book idea, and are always sure to name and age each picture. The abstract ones are adorable when you put pictures on them too! :)

I went into comments moderation and had several from my friend Kim Peri - unfortuantely, I had one from "Viagra for Women" and rejected it but had Kim's checked also. Sorry, Kim - I read them, though!

Oh! I killed a comment from Crystal Young - If any of you blog with her, would you give me her link? Thanks!!

That was the cutest happy birthday present EVER! Such sweet kidos, and I love that they did it with paint friendly tape! Maybe you could pain the wall and then do some cool door knob thingies like I did to display them when you are finished. My kids LOVE the wall of fame!!
