If you have a good one, wearing the hair off your face is liberating, exhilerating, FREEDOM!
If you have a "not-so-good" one, like mine, wearing your hair pulled off your face is exposure, vulnerability, and flat out forbidden!!
Well, Kansas wind was blowing like crazy on Saturday and I came home from Bo's baseball tournament feeling like I had eaten baseball field dirt all day. Went to scrub my face thinking I was going to get a free exfoliation treatment and when I went to wash my forehead . . . YOWZA! Sunburn!!
My forehead never gets sunburned . . . it is always protected by my bangs!
So, here is a picture of me and my forehead in all it's glory while the Kansas wind blew. You can't see the sunburn but you can see the puckered look as I try not to eat ballfield dirt!

Good heavens, somebody stop the wind!! And for Pete's Sake, cover up that forehead!
I guess we can't be beauty queens all the time!
Blessings~

I spent Saturday in that wind at junior rodeo w/grandsons. I wore my cowgirl hat w/hurricane string (tightened up to the chin), not because its a thing of beauty or style or a fashion statement (NOT) but because it protects my face. Also a long sleeved shirt for same reason. Its taken me a long long life to learn to do it but it worked. Still felt wind dried and gritty but not sunburned, thank heavens. Sunday was much better!
Enjoyed a first visit!
LOL!! I'm thinking anytime would be great for these winds to die down, right?! Hope *all* of your sunburns are feeling better now!!
In order to keep your forehead from getting sunburned while still remaining a fashionista, here are my beauty tips:
1. Sunscreen :P
2. Those gigantic sunglasses you tried on at Claires. They covered your entire head.
3. A stretchy 1970s running headband. Retro and functionable.
4. A bandana. Pick your gang color.
5. Recycle one of your winter scarfs. The gypsy look is always a bold choice.
6. Go pirate. Think Jack Sparrow goes cowgirl.
7. Turbans. A very under-appreciated hat.
8. A hijab. Every seen a Muslim woman's sunburned forehead? Me either.
9. Sombreros with a chin strap not only shade your entire body, but you can bling it out to your heart's content.
10. Find a larger person and sit in their shadow.
Hope these tips help! With the right accessories and a dose of confidence any woman can rock these looks. Enjoy baseball season!! :D
