Bailey has been playing piano since she was six and really enjoys it. She played at the Cowley County 4-H Day and received a Top Blue and then went to Regionals and received a Red. Same piece of music, different judge. She has been playing with Mrs. Ramsey for 2 years now and always challenges herself to pick harder pieces.
The first time Bailey had a piano recital, I cried through the entire performance. She played so lovely and looked so sweet. Bo's first piano recital, I cried through the entire performance also! He was soo nervous and played so beautifully. All the frustration to get him to practice paid off!
They both have a desire to learn more so they can play in the praise band at church.

That is too coooooll. Congrats to them both. Now what about the K-boys? Do they play, or is it limited to pots and pans yet?!?!
I teared up at Drew and Jade's first recital as well.
We have moved on to the drums. Get some earplugs!
Praise band trainee's! Yeah! Great pictures of the kids, they are looking like ol' pro's now. I love the two zipping around the kitchen with helmets, but was wondering if you need a helmet and padded, protective clothes if you are in there with them? Ha!
Have a great weekend.
I bet they were nervous! I took piano lessons for over 10 years and we had recitals twice a year. Every time I had a recital, it consumed my thoughts for weeks before hand! I hated them, but I guess I survived!
Bailey is little miss calm, cool, and collected. Bo was quite nervous, so much so that he had Mrs. Ramsey sit up near the piano when he played his solo.
Good to see you on my blog, Lauren!
Countrygirl! There have only been a few times that I have gotten crashed into! Couple bruises on the ankles and shins!
Valerie - Every once in a while, I'll catch the K's sneaking into Bo's room and getting on his drums! We won't tell Bo that though!
Karma - I need more then earplugs - I need valume!
That is neat. Music is something that will give them pleasure all of their lives. And to use it in worship is the best!

I think I remember that episode on Little House! Haha, that's too funny. Love the pic's of your kiddos. I regret not being more serious about my piano lessons as a kid. All I remember is that I hated playing songs over and over, and would have much rather played stuff by ear. I vividly remember my first piano recital. I was playing "We Three Kings" and got through the first few bits before I completely forgot what I was doing (I still do that) and started crying...
My hubby can play the guitar, even though he says he cant, so Lord willin' our kids may have some inkling of hope in the area of music. ;)
Nice picture of my feet mom!
I can't petal with high-heels on. Just not something I have master. So I had to take my shoes off. And of course Mrs.Ramise commented on that and mom took a picture of my feet too!

You have lovely feet! Were your toe's polished?
No my toes weren't polished but luckily they were hidden by the pedals. They were kinda dirty so I decided not to paint them.
The carpet hurt my feet! Talk about needing to remodel!
LOL! I was just going to comment on how I love the photo with Bailey playing in her bare feet! I see that she beat me to it!
Your house must sound like mine with everyone practicing. I love it! It always puts a grin on DH's face when he walks up to the house and hears the kids playing.
DD just had her spring piano recital and her Guild performance.I can't get "That Old Time Religion" out of my head. She loves playing and it always makes me laugh because her teacher is a sweet, demure Christian lady and DD arrives in boots nad jeans and on more than one ocassion has had to remove her spurs.
DS is passionate about the guitar and he and DD have played duets at their respective recitals and jamborees which is so much fun!
May your children always enjoy the beautiful gift of the Lord's music and may you always have ready access to ear protection for those drum sessions!
